5 Reasons Why You Need a Cricut for Your Wedding

I am 22 and I wanted a Cricut starting around age 18. A little backstory: I was engaged at age 18. It didn’t end well but that is beside the point. The original reason I wanted one was that I didn’t have that much money to have a pretty wedding that I saw all over Pinterest. I realized it could be possible with a Cricut machine. Today, I am going to share my favorite ways to add to a wedding with a Cricut machine. And now that I am looking at wedding ideas once again, this refreshes my memory as well!

           1. Two words: wedding. Invites. 

One thing that costs way too much money is wedding invites. With the Cricut machine, you can write, cut, and score your invites all in one! You can either design the invite yourself fully or buy an SVG on Esty. There are tons of designs that you can create multiple copies of for less than $10. Granted it will take way more time than just having them shipped to you, but think of all the money you could save.

2. Foil details 

With the Cricut Foil Transfer Tool, you can add details to wedding invitations, seating cards, menus, or so many other items! There are tons of colors of foil you can use like gold, rose gold, and silver and gemstone colors like purple and greens. This tool can also be used in either any model except the Cricut Joy, making it available for most everyone!

3. Wedding Party favors 

When you have multiple bridesmaids and groomsmen and you want to buy all of them something personalized, it can get pretty pricy. With the Cricut, you can make custom can koozies with their names on them, or travel makeup cases with a monogram on them. It gives a nice touch and makes people feel special to be included.

4. Custom Cake Topper 

Finding a cake topper that’s premade that you and your significant other both love can be difficult. With a Cricut, you can choose any font or shape and cut an acrylic sheet for a beautiful cake topper! You’re sure to design something you both love.

5. Photobooth accessories and backdrops

On Cricut Design Space there are many ready-to-make photobooth accessories like “congrats” signs and silly ones such as top hats and mustaches. On Etsy, there are a lot of options for other kinds of accessories. These are made out of cardstock and glue, it couldn’t be easier! Backdrops can be a little more time-consuming but can be so cute!

Weddings don’t have to be super expensive! I know some bride-to-be out there is on the verge of tears because of the expenses, but there is no need! You can get a Cricut machine on sale of a lot of the time on Cricut.Com, or a second-hand machine from places on Facebook Marketplace!

5 Projects Anyone Can Make With a Cricut!

There are a number of materials you can use with your Cricut, for almost any craft you may need and you can read about it in my last blog post here . Today, I want to share my favorite projects I have made with my machine as well as walk you through what materials you would need to complete the project. Stencils for a painted design This project can be customized to your liking in Cricut Design Space by adding additional words, customizing a name, or adding shapes, or you can use a ready-to-make project. This project was made from a wood canvas from any craft store. I got mine here . This project stencil can be cut with either normal removable vinyl or stencil vinyl. In my opinion, stencil vinyl isn’t worth the money, use contact paper instead if anything.
